Dayton, OH – Radiance Technologies, Inc.’s Radiance University held its first training course in their Dayton, OH location October 2-5, 2018. The course in Reverse Engineering Fundamentals, delivered by Radiance subject matter experts, provided attendees from multiple Radiance locations with a high-caliber learning experience that included hands-on lab exercises.
The course was designed to increase reverse engineering competency among interested Radiance personnel as well as provide education and networking opportunities to Radiance engineers seeking professional development growth. Program Designers, Dr. Ken Edge and Mr. Mike Messuri, developed the Reverse Engineering Fundamentals curriculum, which included additional sessions on topics such as Cyber Readiness and Embedded Architectures.
The goal of the Reverse Engineering Fundamentals Course was to broaden the engineering skills of Radiance Engineers to better support our customers and ultimately the warfighter. Dr. Ken Edge, Cyber Solutions Group Vice President in Dayton said, “Great engineers are made, and those of us who continuously learn can all be great engineers, but we have to focus and work on getting better as an engineer every day.”
The first day of the course included a kick-off social at the Wandering Griffin Brewery & Pub and participants also toured Radiance’s Reverse Engineering lab. Networking and sharing of ideas among attendees was a primary component of the course. The course was a strategic combination of lecture-based learning, social learning, and experiential learning, ensuring participants gained hands-on experience applicable to program management when supporting Government customers.
