HUNTSVILLE, AL. – Radiance Technologies, Inc. (Radiance) Operational Intelligence Group (OIG) has expanded its office and efforts in Fort Gordon, Ga. OIG’s origins can be traced back to 2002 with the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) SETA work.
Fort Gordon is the center for Radiance’s OIG analyst division. OIG provides a wide range of intelligence support including tactical, operational, strategic, and sustainment services and has extensive experience in command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) operations. OIG has gathered this expertise over the course of 14 years through many of its contract opportunities.
“Maintaining high performance standards and local leadership empowered to maintain a good customer relationship are contributing factors for the rapid growth at Fort Gordon,” says Boe Bowman, Senior Vice President of OIG.
According to Bowman, one of the group’s many strengths is the trust and confidence of the customer built by many years of dedicated, dependable, high-quality work. With the addition of new Radiance employees to the INSCOM contract, OIG now boasts 147 members—a substantial growth from the original team from 2002.
“OIG’s current primary customers are the US Army Intelligence and Security Command, the US Army Program Manager for Sensors – Aerial Intelligence, and the Army Research Lab,” says Bowman.
Customer demand for analysts has only increased since the military draw-down began and it will continue through 2016. In addition to providing analyst support, OIG was also tasked with training newly assigned military analysts since many of the systems and analytical tools used by INSCOM are not covered in their military schools.
“Support to Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) is our core capability. We want to expand our support to ISR operations beyond our Army customer to the Air Force and Navy and to Homeland Security,” says Bowman. “We believe that as more interest is paid to securing our borders there will be more opportunities to provide ISR services to monitor the borders.”
Radiance expects OIG to continue its growth in 2016 with already being notified to hire an additional 36 employees. Looking ahead, OIG’s goal for the coming years is to diversify into other C4ISR functions, further expand its outreach to new customers and contracts, and continue to provide industry-leading performance and customer support to each job and contract.
