Field Service Representative [HR7039]


Location: Iraq/Afghanistan

Type: Full-Time

Position Description:

The OIF/OEF FSR candidate for this posting requires both management and technical skill sets.  He (or she) will be the liaison between and at times act on behalf of the ACS-PM office to TF ODIN military and contractor staff in-country.  He (or she) will manage the Aerial Reconnaissance Support Team (ARST) support with all the other contractors.  Therefore, exceptional Customer skills are required.  Individual must be comfortable in high stress, warfighter planning cells, interface with in-theater command elements.  Also must perform installation, training, maintenance, help desk service, monitoring and operation on Aerial Reconnaissance Support Team (ARST) systems deployed in Iraq.  Will support our customer in all technical aspects of the intel reporting system and provide guidance and advice on utility options. Perform preventative maintenance and upkeep of systems. Conduct DOD system training and track spare parts utilization. Video skills background required.  Write technical reports/keep problem logs as required by the Program Manager or Field Service Manager. Duties will often be performed in a field environment/under field conditions. Will support 24/7 day-a-week operations in the MNF-I-A AOR, as required. Primary location will require individual to work and live in a field environment with minimum medical facilities. Must possess the ability to work extended work hours in difficult surroundings. Travel by Mil-Air and/or vehicle to DOD bases may be required. Position may require a minimum 360 day in-theatre commitment.  Rotation considerations have yet to be determined.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Degree in Engineering Technology, Engineering, Physical Science or Computer Science or a minimum of 8 years related electronic maintenance experience with military systems and operations  (Required)
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance upgradeable (Required)
  • Physically able to lift 75 pounds (Required)
  • Meet CONUS Replacement Center (CRC) requirements for deployment into the OEF/OIF theater of operations, complete CRC training (Required).
Qualifications:

Degree in Engineering, Physical Science or Computer Science or a minimum of 8 years related information technology systems and operations; Strong troubleshooting skills; Fluency in English; Strong military background with deployment experience preferred; Excellent communication skills and the ability to identify, address, and resolve problems; Prefer recent experience in a combat zone in security operations and activities requiring a high level of human relationship skills; Able to assist in the development of staffing plans and work schedules; TCP/IP networking skills a plus;  Advanced computer skills are necessary, CISCO and MS certifications also a plus. Other desireable skills include IA experience in a System Administrator role, DIACAP knowledge, SATCOM and Comms/COMSEC experience very helpful.
