Imagery Analyst/All-Source Analyst [HR7023]


Location: Iraq

Type: Full-Time

Position Description:

The Imagery Analyst/Exploitation Analysts will research, assess, integrate, manipulate, exploit, extract, and analyze digital imagery in support of counter-IED operations. They will use understanding of remote sensing, spatial (spatio-temporal) analysis, GIS, intelligence issues, and background in the social or physical sciences to characterize events, discover relationships and trends, infer conclusions, enable descriptive and predictive behavior, and communicate the meaning and significance of these results.  They will also be responsible for forensic imagery exploitation and analysis of full motion video (FMV) to identify anomalies associated with vehicle activity. They will be responsible, using the tools provided, for publishing graphical Phase 1 analytical reports within specified reporting timelines.  All-source analysts will be responsible for providing detailed, layered analytical products to support counter-IED analysis based on specific provided data sets.  They will operate independently and will be responsible for providing detailed all-source analysis to the theater of operation, the Intelligence Community and counterpart analysts in Theater.  Applicants must meet US military standards for deployment and be willing and able to live and work under field conditions, to include living and working in temporary facilities . Must be willing and able to function during a level of heightened state of threat, during extended periods of high pressure and stress.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Formal military training in intelligence analysis or experience with GIS/imagery exploitation training (Required).
  • Minimum of an active Secret clearance (Required).
  • Must meet U.S. Military standard for deployment and be willing to deploy to live and work in a potentially hostile environment designated by the U.S. Government as an Imminent Danger Zone or Hostile Fire Zone (Required).
Qualifications:

In addition to the "required" basic qualifications above, previous experience/knowledge/formal training in at least one or more of the following is "highly desired" with more than one being a "plus":   IMINT (Imagery with full motion video (FMV)), SIGINT, OSINT, HUMINT and/or experience as an "All-source" analyst (gaining and evaluating information from several different sources and drawing sound conclusions based on the information).

Also highly desirable is previous experience with tactical intelligence, targeting/target packages or experience with intelligence in support of ground operations and previous deployment  to OIF and/or OEF.   Also a “plus” is a history of duty with the Constant Hawk program and/or Chief Analyst or Senior Level Military Analyst .  

Experience in the following is desirable with more than one being a “plus”:   link analysis, message traffic analysis, trend analysis, and/or production of intelligence reports and summaries in both graphical and textual forms as well as  experience and/or expertise in the following systems:  ArcGIS/ArcView (experience as a trainer/instructor is a plus), Geo-Database, CIDNE/Pathfinder, C2PC, Analyst Notebook, Falcon View, M3, and Orion Magic.   Must be proficient with standard Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel) and “highly proficient” in MS PowerPoint.
