Position Description:
Provides software development for Radiance Technologies Stennis Operations Division supporting National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and Naval Oceanographic Office contracts for the product development of software applications for web pages, geospatial applications and other web based dissemination activities. Responsible for design, development, implementation and analysis of software products and system solutions; Performs software engineering design evaluations; Performs software development functions in one or more of the following areas: Software Design, Hardware Design/Systems Architecture for Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems (GIS); Manages schedules and project timelines.
Qualifications:
Possess Analytical Skills to be able to synthesize complex or diverse information; collects and researches data; utilizes intuition and experience to complement data, analyze customer requirements against allocated constraints and have the desire and ability to learn new technical and design skills. Be able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listen and seek clarifications; respond well to questions, write clearly and informatively; vary writing style to meet needs, ability to work effectively as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to accomplish set goals, improve processes, products, and services and find ways to improve and promote quality; demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness.
Knowledge of geographic information system technologies is a plus.
